Does AI work on all label types?

Yes. DLCScan recognizes standard industrial labels and in-store printed labels. AI is trained on French date formats (DD/MM/YYYY, DD.MM.YY, "Best before…", etc.).

How does the color code work (J0, J+2, green…)?

DLCScan automatically calculates the gap between today and the product's expiry date. Red: date passed — remove. Orange: expires today (J0). Yellow: expires tomorrow (J+1). Light green: J+2 to J+3 — watch closely. Green: J+4 and beyond — no immediate urgency.

What if the photo is poorly framed or blurry?

The app alerts you and offers quick manual correction. All AI-extracted data can be reviewed and edited before final validation.

Will my teams find it easy to use?

The interface is designed for in-store teams: color-coded ranges (red → green), quick actions and an "Expiry" page that surfaces urgent items first. Onboarding in under 10 minutes, no long training.

How does payment work?

On signup, everyone gets 10 free AI scans and 10 barcode scans to try. Then: a €12.99 incl. VAT monthly subscription per store (launch offer), up to 1,000 AI scans / month and unlimited barcode — or a 400 AI-scan pack for €4.99 incl. VAT (also unlocks barcode while credits remain). Push reminders (morning DLC digest) are reserved for subscribers or pack holders. Payment via the app (App Store / Google Play). Pack credits never expire. If a subscription payment fails, the account is blocked then reactivated once settled, with no data loss.

Who is the 400-scan pack for?

Stores that prefer pay-as-you-go rather than a subscription: lower volume, seasonality, or a trial before committing. 10 AI scans and 10 barcode scans on signup, then a 400 AI-scan pack at €4.99 incl. VAT (credits never expire) or a €12.99 incl. VAT / 1,000 scans monthly subscription.

Is my data secure?

Hosted in France, TLS encryption, GDPR-compliant. Your data stays yours and is exportable at any time.

Do I need a permanent connection?

Today, an internet connection is required, including for AI analysis. A coming version will add offline burst (batch) mode: photograph labels on the aisle even without a network, review the queue, then send the batch when you are back online for AI processing.
